At C Infinity, we believe that how you treat people matters, in every interaction, across every part of the business. That conviction has a name, borrowed deliberately from the restaurant world: Enlightened Hospitality, the philosophy created by restaurateur Danny Meyer in Setting the Table.
Meyer's insight was that success is not just about what you serve. It's about how people feel throughout every interaction. The same is true in consulting. The work is delivered to people, and people arrive carrying context and constraints we cannot see at the start.
Five relationships, one standard
Enlightened Hospitality guides how we show up in five key relationships:
- Our team. A culture of respect and collaboration comes first, because people who feel valued and supported do their most passionate work.
- Our clients. Genuine partnerships built on trust and deep listening, where outcomes are shared successes rather than transactional obligations.
- Our communities. Supporting local initiatives and promoting ethical business practices.
- Our partners and suppliers. Win-win dynamics with fairness, transparency, and a long-term perspective.
- Our stakeholders. Open, honest communication, always.
The order is deliberate. Meyer prioritizes the team ahead of the people they serve, because a team that is cared for is the only reliable engine of care for everyone else.
Bringing all six principles together
Enlightened Hospitality is the sixth of our Guiding Principles, and it ties the other five together: Excellence & Evolution, Passionate Curiosity, Mastery, Greatness & Kindness, and Trust, Integrity & Transparency. Each one describes how we work. Hospitality describes how it should feel to work with us.
Relationships are not softer than deliverables. They are the condition that makes great deliverables possible. Every interaction, a first call, a design review, an escalation, even a disqualification, is a chance for the person on the other end to leave better than they arrived.
That is the standard. The room is the work, not just the food.
